Fit For An Autopsy have announced an Australian tour, which is set for mid-to-late January in 2026. The American extreme metal sextet were last here in 2023, supporting Perth metalcore band Make Them Suffer on their Neverbloom anniversary tour. They will be joined on all dates by Floridian metal band Bodysnatcher, who themselves are returning less than a year after their last run of dates supporting Lorna Shore alongside To The Grave back in February. All tour information is below.
The tour’s line-up will be completed by Newcastle band Volatile Ways and Melbourne band Pain Body. The former released their debut studio album, Perfect Dark, back in February. The latter, meanwhile, are a newly-formed supergroup featuring members of Thy Art Is Murder and Body Prison; the Fit For An Autopsy tour will be their first as a band, with only one single released so far.
Fit For An Autopsy – ‘It Comes For You’
The tour is now part of a busy few weeks to kick off 2026 for guitarist Will Putney, the band’s founding member and producer, who also plays guitar in the supergroup Better Lovers alongside former Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato and three-fifths of the final line-up of Every Time I Die – guitarist Jordan Buckley, bassist Steve Micciche and drummer Clayton Holyoak.
The last two dates of Autopsy’s tour overlap with the first two dates of Better Lovers’ debut tour of the country; the former will be playing in Adelaide and Perth the same nights that the latter are playing in Brisbane and Newcastle. At the time of writing, it has not been confirmed whether Putney will be leaving the Autopsy tour early or joining the Better Lovers tour late. It is worth noting, however, that Fit For An Autopsy are already a three-guitar band, whilst Better Lovers sport two.
