Lacuna Coil have announced their return to Australia, with a five-date capital city run booked in for February 2026. The new shows are part of the Italian alternative metal band’s Sleepless Empire world tour, which is in support of their recently-released 10th studio album of the same name. All of the upcoming tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.
The Sleepless Empire tour is the band’s first headlining Australian run in almost a decade, with their last tour of that ilk taking place in 2016 to support their eighth album Delirium – which was released that year. Lacuna Coil were booked on Download Festival for 2020, but pulled out on account of Italy being one of the first countries majorly impacted by COVID. The entire festival was later cancelled.
The band eventually made their way back to Australia in December of 2022, performing at that year’s Good Things alongside Bring Me The Horizon, Deftones, NOFX and a reunited TISM, among others. While in the country, the five-piece also played a run of east-coast shows supporting Gojira.
Lacuna Coil – ‘Swamped’

They were, in chronological order, ‘Never Dawn’, ‘In the Mean Time’, ‘Hosting the Shadow’, ‘Oxygen’, ‘Gravity’ and ‘I Wish You Were Dead’. The album charted in the top 40 of the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Scotland, Austria and the band’s native Italy upon release.
