American singer and songwriter Jake Huffman has just shared his brand new single The Endofme, the final and title track of his latest EP which is out now.
Written, produced, and performed entirely by Jake himself, The Endofme is one of the most personal songs he’s ever released as it finds him singing about a difficult time in his life, trying to capture the moments and emotions of going through terrifying lucid dreams. You can feel the passion and raw emotion pouring from his vocals which soar effortlessly over a captivating indie-pop/rock production that features lush piano keys nicely intertwined with upbeat drum patterns, killer guitar riffs and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm listening experience packed with raw emotion and vulnerability.
Speaking about the song, Jake Huffman said,
At the time, I was suffering from intense ocular migraines and experiencing vivid, often terrifying lucid dreams. I’d wake up unsure if I was still dreaming. This song is my attempt to capture those moments — not just the emotion, but the actual textures and sounds I heard while in those dream states.
