The Last Dinner Party have covered Chappell Roan‘s ‘Naked In Manhattan’ on the BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge – check it out below.

The cover, which was shared last night (October 13), kicks off with singer Abigail Morris reworking the phone call Chappell makes at the start of her own song: “Hey Chappell, it’s The Last Dinner Party. We’re covering your song on Live Lounge, hope you like it!”

The cover sees the British indie heroes put their own spin on the Chappell hit, rather than a faithful remake – check it out below.

The Last Dinner Party’s cover comes after they released the powerful new song ‘Second Best’ from their upcoming album ‘From The Pyre’. ‘From The Pyre’ has so far been previewed by the western-flecked lead single ‘This Is The Killer Speaking’ and the slow-burning ‘The Scythe’. ‘From The Pyre’ will be released on Friday October 17.

The upcoming sophomore album is the follow-up to The Last Dinner Party’s critically acclaimed 2023 debut album ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’, which earned them a BRIT Award and a Mercury Prize nod, as well as praise from the likes of St. Vincent, CMAT, Brian May and more.

NME awarded that album four stars, and shared that it saw the band capture “enough self-belief and magnetism to set them apart from what’s come before.”

The members went on to drop some hints to NME about the follow-up album at the BRITS 2025 this year, where they took home the award for Best New Artist.

Additionally, The Last Dinner Party have announced a 2025 UK tour, which now features three new dates. The original run of dates was shared last month, and includes stops in Dublin, Manchester, and more, as well as two back-to-back shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. The new shows include a stop at the Barrowland in Glasgow on November 18, a show at the Octagon in Sheffield on November 21, and a gig at the UEA in Norwich on November 25.
