Non-profit organisation and record label Bridges for Music will roll into Amsterdam this October once again by bike. Marking its 10th edition, the annual 230 km charity cycle from London to Amsterdam is already confirmed to host 75 riders, uniting artists, industry figures, cycling enthusiasts and alumni from underprivileged communities in South Africa. The stakes are higher than ever: this year’s ride comes with an ambitious fundraising push to expand creative education access and scale impact.
Over the last decade, the ADE Cycle has become a cornerstone of the dance music community’s commitment to social change, with past participation from names like Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot, Parallelle and Juliet Fox. To date, the initiative has raised over £350,000, used to build a music academy in Langa Township, Cape Town and support after-school creative programming. This year’s proceeds will help expand the Creative Club (for 8–18-year-olds), establish new facilities for younger learners and increase program capacity across Bridges for Music’s offerings.

Among those riding in 2025 are Mark Knight, Maps Maponyane, Goldfish, Msaki, Eli & Fur, Samantha Togni, and alumni from the Bridges Academy. They will be joined by returning participants, including Thomas from Parallelle, reflecting the lasting impact of the event and the strong sense of community that brings riders back year after year. The route consists of two legs: London to Harwich and Hook of Holland to Amsterdam, scheduled for 21–22 October, arriving just in time for ADE.
In a powerful show of support, Martin Garrix has made a £34,000 donation to Bridges for Music, kicking off DJ Mag’s new Top 100 DJs charity fundraising campaign. His contribution alone will pay for 34 students in Bridges for Music’s education programs. As the official charity partner for Top 100 DJs 2025, DJ Mag is now calling on the global DJ community to follow Garrix’s lead and help shine a light on underrepresented talent.
But the event is not just about fundraising, it’s also a bold sustainability statement. By choosing to cycle rather than fly, participants will collectively save approximately 8,750 kg of CO₂ emissions. Bridges for Music now calls on individuals and companies to get behind this landmark 10th edition and help make it the most impactful ride yet.
