Bruce Springsteen gets the biopic treatment in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Directed by Scott Cooper, the film charts the musician’s personal and professional struggles during the conception of his acclaimed 1982 album ‘Nebraska’.

The film is based on the 2023 book of the same name by Warren Zanes. Jeremy Allen White plays the lead role, alongside Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Gaby Hoffmann, Marc Maron and David Krumholtz.

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere was released in cinemas worldwide on October 24, 2025.

Is Jeremy Allen White singing in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere?

Absolutely. Jeremy Allen White sings all the tracks he performs in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.

The film’s full soundtrack, featuring his covers of ‘Born In The U.S.A.’, ‘Nebraska’, ‘Atlantic City’, ‘Mansion On The Hill’, ‘Highway Patrolman’, and many others, is set to be released on December 5, 2025.

What has he said about singing in the film?

Speaking to NME, White said his throat was “torn to shreds” while performing ‘Born To Run’. “It’s a very physical and very difficult song to perform… I felt like I was forcing it and singing so much from my throat and my chest in order to capture the sound I wanted to.

“It knocked me out and I lost my voice. I couldn’t speak for days.”

The first time White sang on set, Bruce Springsteen gave him a hug of approval. “The first time I recorded ‘Nebraska’, which was the first time I was really singing on set… I knew Bruce was there that day, but I didn’t want to see him on my way to set.

“I needed to stay in what I was doing. He found me afterwards and he looked me in my eyes, gave me a hug and held me. That gave me a tremendous amount of confidence going forward to finish the film.”
