Michigan’s post-emo sweethearts Hot Mulligan are headed back Down Under, announcing their Sound A Body Makes When It’s Still Australian Tour for April 2026 – and if history is anything to go by, you should probably start stretching your clicking fingers now.
Kicking off in Melbourne on April 22, the five-piece will loop through Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, bringing their trademark cocktail of raw emotion, stupidly huge hooks and frantic live energy to stages around the country.
Hot Mulligan – ‘And A Big Load’
The tour caps off a massive era for Hot Mulligan, who kicked 2025 into gear with their fourth LP The Sound A Body Makes When It’s Still. It’s their most dialled-in record yet: fight-or-flight choruses, shimmering guitar interplay, sly synth touches and enough high notes to make your feelings sweat. It also scored the band the covers of Kerrang!, Rock Sound and Melodic Mag, cementing their reputation as one of the scene’s most essential exports.
Onstage, they’ve been everywhere lately – from Sea.Hear.Now and Slam Dunk to Riot Fest, plus a UK arena run supporting Pierce The Veil. They’re about to embark on a mostly sold-out North American headline trek, a quick lap of Europe and the UK, and even a debut at Coachella before landing back in Oz. Not bad for a band who used to name songs by mashing auto-correct with their eyes closed.
Joining them on the road will be fellow Michigan emos, saturdays at your place – making their first-ever Australian appearance – along with Singapore’s mathy emo darlings, Forests.
Hot Mulligan have been calling themselves the #1 Hot New Band™ for 11 years straight. At this point, everyone else is finally catching up. Don’t miss them while they’re running this hot.
