Earlier today (Oct. 29), Billboard published the September Boxscore report, with Chris Brown repeating as the biggest touring act of the month. But while the biggest stars of rock, hip-hop and more packed stadiums, comedians were road warrior-ing their way to sold-out theaters and arenas. Here, we’re looking at the five biggest comedy tours of September 2025.

Earlier this summer, Billboard launched its comedy hub with rundowns of the biggest touring comedians of the midyear Boxscore period (Oct. 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025) and of the months that followed. Sebastian Maniscalco, Matt Rife, and Weird Al Yankovic topped those lists, but another former chart-topper bulldozes ahead atop the September recap.

This is Nate Bargetze’s third month at No. 1, going back-to-back after leading in August. He posts another eight-figure month, with $13.3 million and 159,000 tickets according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. The lion’s share of that sum comes from two stops on the Big Dumb Eyes Tour. Between Sept. 12-13, he performed three sets at Denver’s Ball Arena, which earned $3.7 million from 47,200 tickets. Even bigger, he gave a trio of performances at New York’s Madison Square Garden (Sept. 25-26) that grossed $4.6 million, playing to more than 50,000 fans.

A Saturday Night Live alumnus makes his monthly chart debut, and three other performers repeat from last month’s tally. September’s top five comedians worked for their money, playing a combined 65 shows, compared to 38 by the top five overall touring acts. None of them played fewer than 10 shows.

Keep scrolling for a detailed breakdown of the top grossing touring comedy tours of September – by the numbers. This month’s round-up includes one comic who sports their first appearance on the monthly ranking.

Boxscore charts are based on figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. International grosses are converted to USD.
