Brazilian Pop singer and songwriter Laura Pieri shares her brand new single Just a Little, a hypnotic, seductive electro-pop gem that explores the tension between temptation and control.
Following the release of the high-energy Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), Just a Little finds the talented artist singing about the thrill of flirting with danger without completely surrendering to it. It shows the intoxicating rush of doing something that feels wicked and blurring the lines between innocence and sin. A message beautifully conveyed through Pieri’s gorgeous, expressive vocals which glide passionately over the upbeat production. Apart from her lovely vocals I am particularly fond of the groovy rhythms nicely intertwined with infectious guitar riffs, steady beats and bright, shimmering synths that come together to create an overall upbeat, feel-good atmosphere perfect for a fun weekend!
Speaking about the song, Laura Pieri said,
Sweet and sour, playful and self-aware, ‘Just a Little’ carries the belief that desire and shame are two sides of the same coin. I’ve always struggled with feeling like I’m too much, like I don’t belong, like being this way made me broken. ‘Just a Little’ became a kind of reclamation, not just of desire, but of self-permission. It’s the moment I stopped trying to edit my instincts to fit someone else’s moral architecture. Because aren’t we all, just a little sinful?
