Sharon Osbourne and her family have revealed that King Charles made a surprise gesture after her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away in July at the age of 76. Sharon, Kelly, and Jack shared on a November 12 podcast of The Osbournes Podcast called “Remembering Ozzy: The Osbournes Unfiltered on Grief, Legacy & Love | An Exclusive Family Tribute” that they had received an overwhelming amount of support and love from fans. This includes the sovereign, who had written a “lovely letter” to the family.

Jack Osbourne shared on the podcast, “We got a lovely letter from the King.”
Sharon responded, “Our King is an amazing person. He is an amazing person, not just because he wrote to us when Ozzy passed, but if he did it for us, know he does it for many, many, many people.”
The widow shared that this wasn’t just a passing gesture, as the King had reached out to the family when Ozzy had a terrible accident on a motorbike in 2003.
“Here’s a man that does know what’s going on in the street with people,” she praised. “Not just politics, not just you know, here’s a man that cares about the environment, animals.”
Sharon, who described herself and her late husband as “royalists,” continued, “He’s got a good heart. He didn’t have to do certain things that he’s done for Ozzy…And he, again, took the time out of his day to write us, have it hand-delivered to us, a note from the King for Ozzy’s passing with his condolences, and that says so much.”
On July 30, the day of Ozzy’s funeral, King Charles’ soldiers during the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace performed the Black Sabbath song “Paranoid” in tribute. Ozzy Osbourne previously performed at Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee in 2022.
