Stranger Things might be synonymous with spooks and horrors in the Upside Down, but its soundtrack is equally as important to the show.
Created by the Duffer Brothers, the show’s fifth and final season sees the residents of Hawkins rally together to take down Vecna after several rifts emerge across town. Among these is Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who is trying to avoid capture from a military group.
Along with Millie Bobby Brown, all the main cast reprise their roles, including Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalie Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke.
Netflix has split Stranger Things season five into three volumes, with the first four episodes hitting the streaming service on November 27, 2025. The remaining four episodes will roll out across Boxing Day and New Year’s Day in the UK.
Who composed the Stranger Things season 5 soundtrack?
Like previous seasons, the show’s score is by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. The duo represent half of the Texas-based band Survive, and won the Emmy for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music in 2017 for the Stranger Things theme song.

Unsurprisingly, Stranger Things season five features a number of needle drops plucked from the 1980s. These include returning tracks by Kate Bush, synonymous with season four, and pop classics like ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tiffany.
