Tim Burton has said he believes the word “goth” has “lost meaning”. The director is renowned for making goth themed movies (Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands) and the recent Netflix series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega, which centres on the goth teen at the heart of the Addams Family.
