Noel Clarke has reportedly been arrested in London, after losing his libel case against The Guardian last month. According to Deadline, the Doctor Who and Kidulthood actor was arrested at his family home in Kensington yesterday (Thursday September 25). The reason for his arrest is not yet known, at the time of writing. Clarke was questioned in custody, but later released. The Guardian has also reported on Clarke’s arrest, claiming that detectives had searched his property. Police were seen leaving the residence with boxes said to contain a laptop and documents. Donald Trump yesterday signed an executive order titled ‘Saving TikTok while protecting national security’, formally approving a plan to sell TikTok US to a new joint venture business controlled by American investors.The order states that the plan complies with the law passed by Congress last year which said that current owner, China-based ByteDance, must sell the app to avoid it being banned in the country. The criminal case against Kneecap member Mo Chara, over allegations he displayed a flag in support of proscribed terror organisation Hezbollah at a London gig last year, has been thrown out of court because of errors made by the prosecutors bringing the charge. Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis’ Noel and Liam, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault. Today (Friday September 26), the 59-year-old appeared at Harrow Crown Court, which was sitting at Southwark Crown Court, entering pleas of not guilty to all charges (via BBC). The charges include one count of rape, three counts of sexual assault, three of intentional strangulation, two of making a threat to kill, as well as charges concerning coercive and controlling behaviour and assault conditioning actual bodily harm.
