Gains by some live entertainment stocks and solid performances by multi-sector companies were overshadowed this week by German concert promoter CTS Eventim’s double-digit decline and a more modest single-digit drop from Spotify. CTS Eventim shares fell 16.6% to 81.20 euros ($95.18) this week following Thursday’s mid-year results that showed a sharp decrease in adjusted EBITDA despite the concert promoter achieving record revenue. Numerous analysts reacted by decreasing their price targets. The most drastic revision came from Oddo BHF, which reduced its price target to 86 euros ($100.81) from 117 euros ($137.15) and downgraded its rating to “neutral” from “outperform.” Related…
Acclaimed scientist and frequent triple j guest Dr. Karl Kruszelnicki has been grilled by the station’s presenter Lucy Smith on a weighty topic – namely, how scientific the lyrics of Addison Rae‘s 2024 hit single ‘Diet Pepsi’ actually are. During a recent live show held by the pair at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Smith presented Kruszelnicki with a clip from the song in which Rae sings “Break all the rules/Til we get caught/Fog up the windows in the parking lot”. “How long would Addison and her man need to be in the car to fog up the windows?” queried Smith, to…
Everyday Fantastic delivers a powerful dose of nostalgia and raw emotion with their new indie alt-rock smash, “Deja Vu”. The record does a grand job of giving you something that feels both familiar and refreshingly new to make something truly must hear. Brought to life by driving percussion and layered melodies, “Deja Vu” captures that sensation of repeating moments, like living in a memory you can’t quite escape. The vocals strike the perfect balance of commanding energy and vulnerability, giving the lyrics an intimate weight while soaring over an anthemic chorus that begs to be sung at full volume by…
Welsh singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Otto Aday returns with yet another gorgeous single called Down, a hauntingly beautiful piece of indie-pop/rock song out now via his own imprint with AWAL, Old Post Records. The follow up to last month’s upbeat single Friends Like Lovers, Down is a flawless example of Otto Aday’s talents as a musician as he plays almost every instrument in this song and effortlessly pours his heart out through his heartfelt vocal delivery. You can clearly feel the emotion of each and every single word he is singing, instantly making you feel like you’re going through the…
Soft Play brought out Kate Nash at Reading 2025, and used their performance to lead a chant of “Free Palestine”. Check out footage below. The set took place today (August 22) at the opening day of Reading Festival, when the duo – Isaac Holman and Laurie Vincent – took to the Chevron Stage and delivered a blistering rendition of tracks including ‘Act Violently’, ‘The Hunter’, ‘Girl Fight’ and more. Art-pop quartet The Wands Collective enthrall throughout their debut album Four Corner Circle, a genre-defying success that takes inspiration from various cultures and styles — from memorable Latin and Caribbean rhythms to riveting Slavic melodies and heady jazz improvisations. Comprising artists from Colombia, the UK, Barbados and the United States, the project embraces the ethos that music transcends borders, cultures, languages, and time zones; their music captivates with a wonderfully unpredictable and tonally eclectic immersion. The project’s debut track, “Fairies” opens the album with a bubbly synth-forward momentum. Spacey synth layers intermingle with playful lushness, as a jazz-touched percussive spaciousness…
American producer Duce teams up with Swedish producer TMPST and Norwegian singer-songwriter and music producer Idun Nicoline to deliver their brand new single Far Far Away, a dreamy and enchanting Melodic/Deep House cut. What I like the most about this song is how Idun Nicoline’s vocals effortlessly infuse the song with a dreamy touch and a memorable dose of emotion that makes the song lighter and hypnotic, instantly getting me excited to want to share it with you guys. Far Far Away blends those lovely vocals with killer percussive elements that are seamlessly intertwined with bright electronics, expansive synths and a…
Orrin continues to push boundaries with his latest release, “Bad Habits” A brilliant fusion of hyperpop’s glitchy, futuristic textures with the flair of hip-hop. From the jump, the production grabs your attention, with distorted synth layers collide with punchy 808s, creating an electrifying sonic rush. Orrin’s signature delivery weaves between his infectious flow and hook-driven vocals that feel tailor-made for this creative sound brought to life. The energy that feels rebellious and stands out is its fearless experimentation with Orrin carving his lane in the alt-rap space, to make him one of the most exciting artists to enjoy, that sure…

The Bronx rapper posted a clip dancing to the thumping single, which finds her twerking in a pair of jean shorts with a red leather jacket top and strappy blue heels. “They said they wanted a bop, I was just poppin’ my sh–/ I ain’t even really mean to go pop/ He was just begging to hit, I don’t be giving you n—as a shot,” she raps on the track.
