New Zealand-based American/Spanish Artist and Songwriter Anderson Rocio shares her brand new single Grand Scheme, a hauntingly beautiful alt-pop/rock gem with a dramatic touch.  Grand Scheme is a high-concept, theatrical rebellion against the exploitative systems that fuel the entertainment industry, a message flawlessly conveyed through her gorgeous, expressive vocals that captured my attention from the start. Accompanying her passionate vocal delivery we have a theatrical production with lush piano keys, ominous harmonies, killer beats and rhythms that come together to create a dramatic and heartfelt atmosphere. Accompanying the release we have a striking music video, directed by Ann Marie Pace, that…

There’s a hurricane in the sunken pit at Manning Bar, scored by one of the gnarliest breakdowns I’ve ever heard in my life. Jason Butler from Letlive is orchestrating its path of destruction, as debris revolves in an anti-clockwise direction. Silhouetted by the deep purple stage lights, the grin turns to a cheeky, knowing smile as he eyes off the crowd and lines up his target. He dives in and is immediately swallowed by the tempest and for a moment we…

US collecting society SoundExchange has appealed a recent ruling which said it couldn’t pursue legal proceedings on behalf of its artist and record label members whenever there is a dispute over the compulsory licence it administers. That ruling, as part of a legal battle between SoundExchange and satellite radio company Sirius XM, was “erroneous” and based on a “flawed interpretation” of the US Copyright Act, and should therefore be overturned by the Second Circuit Appeals Court, the society says.It needs the appeals court to reverse the lower court ruling so that it can continue with its litigation against Sirius, which -…
