Taylor Swift has reflected on her massive ‘Eras Tour’, but revealed that she has no intention of heading out on the road again soon. The pop giant released her 12th studio album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ today (Friday, October 3), following on from last year’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. As Swift has explained, the LP explores “what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life” during the record-breaking ‘Eras Tour’. Produced by Max Martin and Shellback, alongside Swift herself, the album was recorded in Sweden in between shows on the huge trek. Speaking to Greg James on BBC…
This Ain’t Real is the resonating sophomore album from Copenhagen-based quartet HalfCutLemon, whose dynamic sound spans from jagged post-punk intensity to hauntingly cinematic atmospheres, blending angular guitars, twinkling keys, and layered vocals into a compelling, emotionally charged listening experience. “Ointment” kicks off the album with an ardent rock sound, featuring vocals that swell from debonair intrigue into punchy passion as twangy guitars and a post-punk bass undercurrent intertwine. A slowed-down “wait for me” sequence channels a climactic vigor, as bolstered vocal layers add further infectiousness; the aesthetic reminds fondly of a cross between Interpol’s post-punk moodiness and Television’s sturdy guitar…
South Korean artist Kikai Udon shares his brand new single Ehlika, a smooth, romantic indie-pop cut. What I like the most about this song is its warmth and how soothing and expressive his vocal delivery is, radiating vulnerability and raw emotion from start to finish. Ehlika finds the talented artist singing about an intimate moment of unspoken tension between two people, where they are sharing the same space but leave unsaid feelings that linger even after goodbye. A relatable storytelling that is wrapped around a delicate production that pairs his lovely vocals with intricate guitar plucks, subtle atmospherics and steady drum…
One Direction’s Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are set to reunite for a new Netflix documentary series. As reported by Rolling Stone, a three-part series will follow the former bandmates as they go on a “spontaneous adventure” across the United States, offering viewers a “rare look” at their lives as they reconnect as friends. The show has not yet been named, but it will be directed by Nicola Marsh, who has worked on Netflix version of Song Exploder, and produced by Campfire Studios (Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, America’s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders). It is expected to drop…
Albert Breaker and Mohalizer team up for something special on their new afrobeats anthem “Trauma”. From the very beginning, the track pulls you in with a smooth yet infectious rhythm that makes it impossible to sit still. The production is vibrant, layering percussive grooves, bright melodies, and a steady pulse that sets the stage for both artists to shine. The commanding presence in the vocals that cut through with passion and urgency, while Mohalizer complements the vibe perfectly with a melodic delivery that adds warmth and depth. Together, they create a dynamic back-and-forth that makes the song feel alive with…
German DJ and Producer Marten Lou teams up with Grammy-nominated UK-based duo CamelPhat to deliver their first collaboration Save Me, a melodic house track that brings together the strengths of both artists. Out Now on Warner Music, Save Me is a song about struggling with loss, dependence, and the terrifying thought of living without someone you love. This message is beautifully conveyed through smooth, dreamy vocals which soar effortlessly over a cinematic melodic house production, featuring dreamy soundscapes, razor-sharp synths, lush piano keys, and driving basslines that come together to create a memorable and infectious listening experience perfect for late-night drives…
It’s showtime! Taylor Swift‘s The Life of a Showgirl has finally arrived after months of buildup, complete with 12 new songs. Released on Friday (Oct. 3) and produced entirely by the pop star, Max Martin and Shellback, the album finds Swift looking back on her past two years of life — which she largely spent on the road on her global Eras Tour. On “Father Figure,” she interpolates George Michael’s 1987 hit of the same name, and on title track “The Life of a Showgirl,” Sabrina Carpenter joins her for their first official duet since touring together last year. “The…
Yung D.I. turns the energy all the way up on his new Trap anthem “Overly Havin”. A record that embodies the flex, and unapologetic confidence that defines the genre at its best. The production knocks with heavy 808s and booming bass, that set the stage perfectly for his commanding flow. From the moment Yung D.I. steps on the beat, his presence is undeniable, spitting with sharp precision and a cadence that feels both raw and polished. His lyrics highlight grit, painting the picture of someone who’s fully locked into their grind and unapologetically celebrating the wins that come with it.…
