Pendulum have announced their first headlining shows in their native Australia in two-and-a-half years. The four-date run, set for March 2026, are in support of the Perth-born and UK-based drum-and-bass act’s recently-released fourth studio album, Inertia. Fanny Lumsden has shared her first new original music in over two years – a stand-alone single entitled ‘Look At Me Now’. The track was premiered live on the Tooma singer-songwriter’s recent run of shows opening for Paul Kelly alongside Lucinda Williams and her band, which wraps up tomorrow night (September 7th) in Melbourne. It was co-produced by Lumsden with longtime collaborator Matt Fell and husband Dan Freeman, who also plays bass in Lumsden’s backing band. Sphere Entertainment Co. was the top-performing music stock for the second consecutive week after gaining 7.8% to $48.90 for the week ended Sept. 5. After rising 6.8% the previous week, Sphere Entertainment rode continued enthusiasm for the revamped The Wizard of Oz that debuted at Sphere on Aug. 28. Lil Baby was scheduled to return to Australia next month for his first ever headlining arena tour. This, however, will no longer be going ahead per Ticketek – the ticket vendor for these shows. A new statement on the event page has confirmed the shows are cancelled, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the sole reason for the cancellation. A major court ruling last month found that SoundExchange doesn’t have the power to collect royalties through litigation. Now, the organization has launched an appeal in hopes of preserving this enforcement strategy. SoundExchange’s notice of appeal on Friday (Sept. 5) challenges an August federal court ruling that dismissed its $400 million lawsuit against SiriusXM. Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald held in her decision that SoundExchange, a nonprofit designated by the Copyright Royalty Board to collect performance royalties for artists, does not actually have the right to sue anybody under federal law. Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash has filed for bankruptcy, saying he has just over $4,000 to his name and owes more than $25 million in tax bills, child support and court judgments. Dash, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella with Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke in 1994, is seeking to clear his debts through a so-called Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition filed Thursday (Sept. 4) in Florida. It comes almost exactly a year after Dash’s one-third interest in Roc-A-Fella was auctioned off to the state of New York due to these same debts.
