Burns by TRALALAS Danish project TRALALAS, the dark-pop endeavor of songwriter Morten Alsinger, channels a cinematic, nocturnal intensity on new single “Burns.” Following July’s striking debut “Winter on the Vine,” this second release deepens the project’s exploration of human fragility and shifting emotions, evoking a brooding allure reminiscent of Tom Waits at his most shadowy. Gravelly vocals, organ backdrops, and twang-tinged guitar tones entwine with haunted poetics, setting the stage for the project’s forthcoming debut album this autumn. A slight backing organ glows as a twangy guitar mystique unveils itself. Gentle percussive pit-patter complements a foreboding vocal feeling, as a…

Los Angeles-based artist Savannah Pope shares her brand new single Terrible Thing, a rich indie-pop song about the disorienting experience of receiving the love you’ve longed for but can’t fully accept. Taken from her upcoming EP, which explores femininity, trauma, and the tension between societal perception and internal truth, Terrible Thing beautifully encapuslates this ethos and finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing her unapologetically raw songwriter and operatic vocals that won me from the start. You can feel the raw emotion pouring from her vocals and how it is enhanced by the captivating production that pairs echoing harmonies, dramatic, emotive piano…
