A timeless, harmonious sound resonates on “I Have Been the Moon,” a single from new band The Sways that masterfully emits a blend of psychedelic intrigue, twinkling pop, and introspective folk. The project comprises three “proud dads, all from past musical projects” — who have come together for a very charming sound, one that deftly balances “makes me wanna come back home” vocal yearning with colorful, melodic vocal harmonies. The “rotating around you” sequence is especially inviting with its vocal layers, culminating in a breezy whistling that further invokes a throwback appeal. “I Have Been the Moon” is a standout success from The Sways.
