Get ready to crack your glowsticks: there’s a brand-new dance festival about to blast into orbit down under.

Say g’day to hypersonic, a fresh ‘multi-genre’ party with a heavy EDM heart, set to hit Sydney Showground on Saturday, 29th November before jetting down to Melbourne Showgrounds on Sunday, 30th November.

“Multi-stage lineup drop of the year… loading”

The announcement landed via a blazing orange poster on Insta and a suitably hype-heavy caption: “Introducing hypersonic: The ground-breaking multi-genre festival you need in your life. Step into summer with hypersonic. Multi-stage line-up drop of the year: loading… Get the group chat ready for a full send.”

Naturally, EDM tragics across Instagram and Reddit are already speculating that Hypersonic could be the spiritual second coming of the much-missed (and much-memed) Stereosonic.

Over on triple j’s Reddit, punters are already fantasy-booking Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta and more – basically anyone who hasn’t touched Aussie soil in yonks.

Hypersonic is being delivered by Symbiotic Presents (the crew behind trance mega-events like Dreamstate, Transmission and Hyperdome) in collaboration with long-time party lords Hardware Group, who are promising their “biggest line-up yet”.

For now, organisers are keeping the actual artist drop close to their neon vests, but one thing’s clear: summer 2025 just got a lot sweatier.

Pre-sale sign-ups are now open and you can suss the info down below.
