It was around 9:45 p.m. when the lights of Tomorrowland Brazil’s Mainstage went dark to announce Alok’s performance. As tradition dictates, the festival’s signature deep, fairy-tale voice guided the narrative this year built around the 2025 theme “LIFE.” Just as the story seemed to reach its climax, with the opening of the massive flower at the center of the stage design, came the night’s big surprise: over 1,100 drones lit up the sky above Parque Maeda in São Paulo’s countryside, forming a radiant extension of the blooming flower. The voice continued to narrate an original story carrying a powerful message of authenticity, trust, and unity co-created between the artist and the festival.

Alok has been expanding the boundaries of electronic music far beyond entertainment, transforming his performances into immersive experiences that connect people and cultures while raising collective awareness about urgent global issues such as sustainability. His shows merge futuristic visual identity, monumental staging, and cutting-edge technology a combination that reflects a deeper purpose: Alok is clearly more than just a showman. He believes music is a transformative force with the power to create lasting social impact.

At this year’s Tomorrowland Brazil, nothing was left to chance. Alok set out to show that electronic music can serve as a universal language — a bridge between people and dreams — capable of changing how we feel and perceive the world. Or, as he put it during Tomorrowland Belgium, it’s about “rejecting the idea of the impossible.” Established as the leading Brazilian act on the festival’s lineup, Alok made it clear this year that he is determined to etch his name into Tomorrowland’s history.

“Being surrounded by so many incredible minds and hearts who make this experience possible despite all the challenges that come with something of this magnitude is an immense privilege. It’s special, inspiring, and deeply rewarding to be part of something that transcends the stage and becomes a true celebration of art, unity, and human energy.” -ALOK

Drones – now recognized as a signature element of Alok’s major performances – continue to appear in ever-greater numbers, this time once again breaking the Latin American record for shows of this kind. Yet for Alok and the audience, what truly matters is how these luminous formations amplify the sensory experience, proving that the sky is no longer the limit for his performances. The shapes and patterns, visible from far beyond the festival grounds, seemed to pollinate the Tomorrowland crowd with particles of wonder and hope.

The setlist featured a powerful selection of tracks that many considered to have even surpassed Alok’s own Tomorrowland Brazil 2024 performance — which was named “Best Performance of the Year” at the Electronic Dance Music Awards (EDMAs). Among the show’s high points was the uplifting energy of “Allein Allein”, a moment so emotionally charged it moved many in the crowd to tears. To close the night, Alok treated fans to his latest release, “To The Moon,” produced alongside Grammy-nominated American artist Illenium — a track that had been one of the most requested by fans since his São Paulo show.

Beyond his monumental Mainstage performance, Alok also appeared on the first day of Tomorrowland Brazil at the Crystal Garden stage with his side project Something Else. In a more relaxed and experimental format, he delivered a fun and magnetic set that drew a massive crowd eager to explore his “B-side.” The performance resonated not only with his longtime fans but also with audiences from outside the mainstream electronic scene.

Alok continues to redefine what it means to be an electronic music artist. He views culture as a living, ever-evolving force capable of catalyzing positive change in the world. With each new show, he proves that it’s possible to bridge tradition and modernity, spirituality and technology, entertainment and awareness, emotion and attitude. Watching Alok at Tomorrowland Brazil wasn’t just about seeing and hearing a major artist it was, above all, about feeling and connecting.
